Back in the dot-com heyday of the late 1990s, the domain name Cool.com sold for a cool chunk of money. This event made me think the domain name VeryCool.com would be very cool to "own," but it was taken. Not to be denied, I checked the availability of the VeryVeryCool.com domain name, but it was taken. Consequently, on 15 May 2000, I registered VeryVeryVeryCool.com and decided to create this webpage containing hyperlinks to very, very, very cool websites. |

O'Reilly related the story of a toy company
looking for beta testers. They would ask
the kids "who's the coolest kid you
know?" They would then follow the
trail until a kid answered, "I am."
